What this project is about
Tender is a social discovery and live video chat app with filters, interest tags, and gifting—built for everyday connections that feel fast to start and easy to repeat. Discovery feeds, live sessions, and chat had to coexist without overwhelming the UI; sessions needed to feel responsive on varied devices; and extras like gifts had to delight without blocking the core join-and-talk loop.

Stacking discovery, live video, and chat risks UI overload unless each entry path stays focused.
Live sessions must feel quick to join and stable enough across devices, or drop-off spikes immediately.
Interest matching and gifting needed to feel native to the social experience—not bolted-on chrome.
Solutions
How we solved it
Tabbed and card-based flows keep discovery and live sessions scannable, with primary join/chat actions always obvious.
Interaction patterns prioritize quick session entry and lightweight chat actions over nested setup.
Gifting and interest tags were designed as optional enhancers that support engagement without slowing the core loop.
Outcome
What finally came
Tender delivers a live social experience tuned for repeat use: fast to enter, clear to navigate, and flexible enough for discovery plus real-time conversation.
