Overview
What this project is about
OwnSafe is a roadside assistance mobile product for emergencies on the road—helping users find nearby mechanics and services for breakdowns, punctures, battery jumpstarts, and towing when they need help fast. The experience had to feel calm under stress, make nearby help discoverable in a few taps, and keep critical actions obvious when someone is stranded. This is emergency assistance UX, not a generic “security vault” story.
Challenges
What we faced
Users open the app in stressful moments—safety messaging must reassure without adding panic or clutter.
Onboarding and location/service discovery had to be short; long setup fails when someone is already broken down.
Critical actions (find nearby help, call, request tow) must stay reachable under pressure, not buried in menus.

Solutions
How we solved it
Calm, high-contrast UI highlights emergency-first controls and nearby service discovery.
Onboarding and progress cues stay minimal so users can reach help quickly after install.
Safety actions are grouped into obvious, reachable patterns—search nearby, contact, and assistance requests front and center.
Outcome
What finally came
OwnSafe presents a trustworthy roadside-assistance experience that puts help within easy reach. When something goes wrong on the road, the path to nearby support stays clear and actionable.
